city eats

Jalisco, 2337 Peachtree Road, (404) 233-9244 (ga)

mexican is my love. i have yet to find a place that even comes close to competing with Jalisco down in buckhead. the food is fabulous...medium-spicy salsa, and the best chicken vegetable soup in the world. i had never experienced mexican soup until i ate at Jalisco's. let me just say that it is the first stop i will make if i find myself sniffling and whining about a cold.

Jalisco's is located in a strip mall and is easily skipped over if you are not hunting for it. it was the first place i stopped when taking my mother on a "tour" of buckhead.

now i am definitley craving it. gosh, darnit.

architecture + hollywood

i love old movies. down with love was a big success, in my opinion, of capturing mid-century interiors and costume (it was also hilarious!). while studying american moderne design, i found this amazing article. the author does an incredible job of explaining the connection between architecture and set design. there are also a few good movies mentioned...*heads off to video store*

tattoo?

this is a bit much for me.
